The campus includes the Faculty of Medicine, a training hospital with a capacity of 1041 beds and conference halls. The expansive campus, covering an area of 611,265 m², boasts a total construction area of 550,000 m². Notably, the Cerrahpaşa Hospital within the campus spans across a construction area of 360,000 m².
The hospital building, located in Istanbul's historical peninsula, is a prospective LEED Gold certification recipient. It has been thoughtfully designed to foster human-friendly interactions with the structure through careful mass positioning, material selection, and pedestrian engagement. Consisting of 3 floors and 5 basements above ground, the building has been reinforced with seismic isolators. It features a total of 46 operating rooms, 157 intensive care beds, and 205 polyclinic rooms. As a university hospital, the building is open to all technological advancements and has been designed to accommodate the specific needs and visions of each department.
Moreover, the building's mass formation is tailored to permit patients, staff, and students to utilize the landscape areas independently. The incorporation of rooftop gardens has created isolated areas within the city. The hospital garden itself is designed to integrate historical buildings and green spaces, while all parking facilities have been strategically located in the basement floors, with a total capacity of 2500 parking spots.
